PRINCIPAL

 

CHIEF MACDONALD OYAKHIRE BARTHOLOMEW OMIJIE-OMOLEMEN (Mci.Arb)

 

 
Chief Omolemen who holds a Masters Degree in International Law and Diplomatic Analysis (MLS) and LL.M in Maritime and Commercial Law from the Lagos State University, with a Ph.D in view from Ambrose Ali University, in Edo State. He is also a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Taxation (FCTI), Chartered Arbitrator (Mci.Arb) and an Associate member of both the Nigerian Institute of Management as a Member (MNIM) and the Certified Institute of Shipping (ACIS). In addition to the above, the Chief who is a Resource\ Research person, Notary Public of Nigeria is also registered with the Securities and Exchange Commission as a Capital Market Solicitor.

 

Chief Omolemen established Gabanna Chambers in 1991 after his pupilage with Messrs Chuka Agbu (S.A.N) and Ralph Okokhere & Co respectively. His experience covers all aspects of Laws including not limited to Corporate and Commercial Law practice, Shipping/Admiralty Law, Oil & Gas Law, Property Law, Banking & Finance, Taxation, Criminal Law, Documentation and Perfection of Company Securities, Labour Law, Debt Recovery, Capital Market and Investment. He has participated as a Facilitator in many training and retraining programmes of the Institute of Chartered Arbitration and Institute of Chartered Accountants among others.

 

Chief Omolemen is presently the Principal of Gabanna Chambers.





ACTIVE ASSOCIATES

IMEH ASIBONG

 

Imeh obtained his Bachelors Degree in Law LL.B (Hons.) from University of Calabar, Cross-Rivers State in 1988 and LLM from Lagos State University. He was called to the Nigerian Bar in 1989. Imeh, is a seasoned legal practitioner with over 25 years of experience in Advocacy, Properties, Arbitration, Privatization, Capital Markets, Taxation.

 

 

He is currently on leave of absence with Ibom Power Company at as their Company Secretary and Legal Adviser since 2006 till date. 

 

A.B. JOSIAH

 

Josiah is a skilled and experienced practitioner. A.B. Josiah obtained his Bachelors Degree in Law LL.B (Hons.) From the University of Calabar, Cross-Rivers State in 1989. He was called to the Nigerian Bar in 1990. He has over 21 years working experience and vast knowledge in litigation, Corporate and Commercial Law practice, Oil & Gas Law, Property Law, Banking & Finance, Taxation, Criminal Law, Documentation and Perfection of Company Securities, Labour Law, Debt Recovery, Capital Market and Investment.

 

He has great advocacy skill and has represented clients at both trial and appellate Courts. He is a member of the Nigerian Bar Association, Lagos Branch.

 

R.O. UDENSI

 

He obtained his Bachelors Degree in Law LL.B (Hons.) from the Lagos State University, Ojo Lagos State in 1992 and was called to the Nigerian Bar in 1995.

 

His vast skills and experience covers all aspects of Laws including not limited to Corporate and Commercial Law practice, Shipping/Admiralty Law, Oil & Gas Law, Property Law, International Trade and Investment Law, Documentation and Perfection of Company Securities, and has been liaising with Government Agencies, procurement of relevant permits and necessary documentation at the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC), Securities & Exchange Commission (SEC) and other government agencies.

 

CHRISTIAN ILOBA NWAJEI

 

Mr. Nwajei obtained his LLB from Lagos State University and LL.M from University of Lagos. Since called to the Nigerian Bar in 2001, he has worked at a senior management level in the former Afribank Group before focusing on private business and legal practice.


He coordinates the Property Consultancy Unit of the firm and has core competencies in identifying and building relationships that facilitate deal closures. He has been involved in many big ticket property transactions in Lagos and Abuja.


IFEANYI OKANI

 

Mr. Okani obtained his LL.B in 1998 and was called to the Nigerian Bar in 1999. He has developed competencies in corporate practice and management of high networth clients. He is overseeing the firm’s property consultancy and compliance/regulatory issues in Abuja.



GRACE OFURE EHIGIE

Grace obtained her LL.B in 2004 from Ambrose Alli University, Ekpoma in 2004 and was called to the Nigerian Bar Association in 2006. She later obtained her Master Degree in Law from the Lagos State University, Ojo in 2010. She is a member of the Nigerian Bar Association, Ikeja Branch, Lagos State.


She worked briefly with Afribank Nigeria Plc (now Mainstreet Bank) before joining Gabanna Chambers to consolidate her experience in legal practice. She is a member of the litigation team 


CHINEDU EZEWUZIE

Mr. Ezewuzie obtained his LL.B in 2007 from University of Ibadan and was called to the Nigerian Bar in 2008. He is a member of the Nigerian Bar Association in Abuja.

He coordinates our litigations unit and he is a member of our property transaction team.

ABIGAIL SOMOYE

Abigail obtained her Bachelors Degree in Law LL.B (Hons.) From the University of Lagos, Lagos State in 2007, she was called to the Nigerian Bar

in 2008. She is a member of the Nigerian Bar Association, Ikeja Branch, Lagos State.

 
She has worked in the firm of Abraham Adesanya & Co, prior to her joining Gab-Anna Chambers. She has acquired skills and Knowledge in litigation, Corporate and Commercial Law practice, procurement of relevant permits and necessary documentation at the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC), Land Registries both Federal and State; she is a Resource and Research person. She is active in the litigation group of the firm.

Wuraola obtained her Bachelors Degree in Law LL.B (Hons.) From the Lagos State University, Ojo Lagos State in 2007, she was called to the Nigerian Bar in 2009. She is a member of the Nigerian Bar Association, Ikeja Branch, Lagos State.
 
She has worked in the firm of A. Bayero and Co. in Lagos and M.A. Bello & Co. at Ilorin Kwara State. She has acquired skills and Knowledge in litigation, Corporate and Commercial Law practice, procurement of relevant permits and necessary documentation at the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC), Land Registries both Federal and State; she is a Resource and Research person. She is active in the litigation group of the firm. She has travelled wide in the country in the course of the field of Law Practice.
 
EBERE ODINAKA
 
Ebere obtained her Bachelors Degree in Law LL.B (Hons.) from Enugu State University in 2010, she was called to the Nigerian Bar in 2011. She is a member of the Nigerian Bar Association, Ikeja Branch, Lagos State. She is a Resource and Research person. She is a member of the property transactions team in Lagos

Victoria has worked with Gabanna Chambers since inception. She is currently studying for her National Certificate of Education at the Adeniran Ogunsanya College of Education, Ijanikin, Lagos. She supervises the administrative staff to ensure smooth running of the practice.
