practice spanning from incorporation of companies, advertising clients on
matters falling within other general areas of General Corporate and Commercial
Law concerning the operations of business in Nigeria acquisitions and disposals
of shares or assets (legal due diligence, negotiation of purchase and sales
agreements, obtaining all government or administrative consents), private
equity, capital transactions (capital increases, issuance of securities, etc), and
purchase of distressed companies.

joint ventures and conventional and securitized financing.
We
have access to a vast and highly specialized data bank of precedents in the
field of conveyance, real state, commercial property, and mortgage financing
which ensures that clients benefits from our ability to rapidly create form and
structures to meet their diverse needs.
4. GOVERNMENT
RELATIONS: REGULATORY AFFAIRS UNIT
The
firm advises and guides investors and their professional advisers (foreign and
local) on the regulatory regime for doing business in Nigeria. We advise on
compliance procedures and practice, file, process and obtain requisite licence
permits and authorizations and offer immigration advise and processing
services.
We
act for government and its agencies and have over the years acted for the
Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), National Agency for Food and Drug
Administration and Control (NAFDAC), Nigerian Prisons, Nigerian Deposit
Insurance Corporation (NDIC) etc.
5. DISPUTE
RESOLUTION: LITIGATION AND ARBITRATION
The
firm handles a wide range of general civil, land (property) and criminal cases.
It is involved in corporate and commercial cases and is active but not limited
to areas of company disputes debt recovery, infringement of trademarks,
insolvency, property and commercial disputes in general.
With
highly skilled and experienced litigation and disputes resolution team, our
initial approach is to define the goals and objectives of the client and then
select the approach best suited to achieve the desired results for the client.
The
firm from time to time advises as to contentious employment laws, industrial
relation issues, and conduct that may lead to or result in litigation.
6. OTHERS
Tax
consultancy services, Admiralty etc. are built into our service delivery
processes. Our firm is also committed to doing pro bono work in aid of charitable and humanitarian causes.
